Bitcoin VS ZClassic
Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency that was created by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2009 in response to the financial crisis of 2008. It quickly became popular because of the idea which vehicle but also the growing enthusiasm of the community for trading or crypto project. Its success has inspired many other projects such as Ethereum or Ripple. Bitcoin is now considered the mother currency of the entire crypto ecosystem and its price has a huge impact on the entire market.
ZClassic is a fork of zcash. As zcash was being mined, it became clear that zk-SNARKS were not the best option for anonymous transactions due to their huge size and slow verification time. Zclassic aims to solve this problem by removing zk-SNARKS from the equation, which reduces the block size from 20MB to 2.1MB (the original block size). The developers want ZClassic to be able to process at least 10x more transactions than Bitcoin's average of 3 per second - or about 30 per second instead of 3!
