It quickly became popular because of the idea which vehicle but also the growing enthusiasm of the community for trading or crypto project. Its success has inspired many other projects such as Ethereum or Ripple. Bitcoin is now considered the mother currency of the entire crypto ecosystem and its price has a huge impact on the entire market.

Stellar is an open-source protocol for sending and receiving money in any pair of currencies. It offers a stellar blockchain crypto to facilitate cross-asset transfers of value, including payments. The stellar network runs on a consensus algorithm that allows it to achieve agreement about the network state, even when some nodes are malicious or dishonest. Stellar can be used as a common financial platform, where all kinds of assets can be tokenized and exchanged among different people around the world without any friction. The stellar cryptocurrency (XLM) is issued by the nonprofit Stellar Development Foundation and has been steadily growing since its launch back in 2014.
