Plasma is a blockchain technology that is designed to handle high-speed transactions. It has been called "the plasma of the ethereum world" because it takes some ideas from plasma and creates its own version. Plasma was originally created by Joseph Poon, who also created plasma cash and lightning network as well. The plasma finance crypto coin was created in order to make it easier for people to invest in this new technology, since many people are scared away by how complicated investing can be when you don't know what you're doing.
