Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency that was created by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2009 in response to the financial crisis of 2008. It quickly became popular because of the idea which vehicle but also the growing enthusiasm of the community for trading or crypto project. Its success has inspired many other projects such as Ethereum or Ripple. Bitcoin is now considered the mother currency of the entire crypto ecosystem and its price has a huge impact on the entire market.

Odyssey

Odyssey is a decentralized platform for building and managing Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) and powering smart contracts. It's an open-source, peer-to-peer blockchain network that employs many of the same technologies used by Bitcoin to power their cryptocurrency, odyssey tokens. The odyssey team has been working on this project since 2013 and it went live in 2016 with its beta release followed by the full launch in 2017. It is one of the first projects to employ proof of stake consensus as opposed to proof-of-work consensus which means that users do not need expensive equipment or huge amounts of electricity for mining.
